Step Into Counseling offers Teletherapy for Adult Individuals, Couples, EMDR Therapy & Consultation, and Supervision
Step Into Counseling is the private practice of Sarah and Andy Rose in Boulder, Colorado. We offer modern, effective psychotherapy for individual adults, couples, and children. Couple therapy is co-counseling where the client couple meets with both of us. Sarah Rose, LPC (she/her) Sarah Rose has a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Naropa University. She is a Maiberger Institute Certified EMDR Consultant, working with the Maiberger Institute, co-facilitating EMDR trainings and offering consultation. She has completed level II of the PACT training with Stan Tatkin and works in a co-therapy model with her husband, Andy Rose when working with couples. She has been working with individual adults and couples for several years; supporting them in gaining clarity and influence in their lives. Sarah works with the body, helping her clients learn how feelings and experiences live in them. She supports people in exploring how their past impacts them today and teaches tools to help clients process and have influence over their feelings. She incorporates mindfulness, Gestalt, Parts work, EMDR, PACT principles and movement among other approaches in helping her clients reach their goals. Sarah believes in the healing power of relationship and the innate wisdom we all possess and sometimes need a little help accessing. Services offered: individual therapy for adult women, co-therapy for couples, individual and group consultation for EMDR therapy, supervision during internship at Boulder Emotional Wellness and toward LPC hours. Sarah works with an additional co-therapist, Pax, a border collie who is very helpful in the counseling room. Pax is following in the footsteps of his predecessor, Token (a.k.a. the Token of my affection and pictured above), who was a great role model for being in the present, staying grounded and being with what is. For upcoming EMDR basic training and advanced EMDR training, see Maiberger Institute events page. Andy Rose, LPC (he/him) Andy specializes in couples therapy (Stan Tatkin’s PACT model), individual adult and child trauma resolution, play therapy for children, and parent coaching. He directs the Masters Internship Program at Boulder Emotional Wellness and has taught Research and Program Evaluation, and Assessment and Appraisal at Naropa University. Andy graduated from the Transpersonal Counseling Masters program at Naropa in 2008 (Wilderness Therapy) and certificate programs in EMDR, Applied Existential Psychotherapy and Synergetic Play Therapy, and from Cornell University in 1990 in Mathematics.
